Rachel did 2 Easter egg hunts, one at the clubhouse & one at home. While Julia and Madi competed in a hunt of their own for eggs with money in them.

Texas Trip

Julia, Rachel and I visited their Oma, Opa, Aunt Gretchen, Uncle Devin, Great Uncle Hanes, and great-granny Merle in Texas over Spring Break. We went to the Botanical Gardens, Fiesta Texas, and enjoyed some good BBQ. I upheld the tradition of lunch at Bumdoodlers in Boerne with high school friends, Tiffany & Kelly. Julia and I tackled all the rides at Fiesta Texas thanks to the flash pass, until back to back rides on Goliath left my internal organs looking for a place to land.

We stopped at someone's house & asked to use their yard of wild flowers to shoot a few photos of Rachel in the flowers. She wasn't cooperating, but here's a few pics.

Madi's 12th Birthday Party

It's official: we now a have a "tween" who only texts, not talks to us. Madi was so excited to finally get an iPod Touch for her 12th birthday. She and some friends celebrated with pizza, karaoke, and frozen yogurt. Then, of course, the sleepover.

Christmas Holidays 2010

We enjoyed the Christmas holidays with family and friends. Starting with the always-fun LVA Christmas party, then an "ugly xmas sweater party" where a re-gift of Billy the Big Mouth Bass was the hit of the gift exchange, then our annual cookie decorating party, then Christmas Eve at our neighbor's, then a visit from Ryan and Rhona, the Gramacy grandparents, and the Fresno, CA Reddie's for Christmas Day, then knee surgery on 12/28.
